As Always, Welcome! Our goal is to always provide the finest in veterinary care to pets that are brought to our facility and to be kind and considerate to their owners.
Braden Run Animal Hospital [BRAH] opened its doors in May 2002. When Dr. McMillen opened her own practice, she started in the basement of her Waynesburg home with the help of her husband. Listening to the expectations and needs of the community resulted in a mixed animal practice with a 24 hour emergency service that sees all species of animals, including birds and reptiles. (After-Hour emergency service is now provided by an outside veterinary emergency clinic.)
Dr. McMillen quickly outgrew her basement and has since built a fully equipped modern animal hospital adjacent to her home. Braden Run Animal Hospital is the "Only" accredited animal hospital in Greene County PA.
The hospital contains a complete:
- laboratory,
- Pharmacy,
- Radiological department: X-Ray & Ultrasound
- Isolation ward with negative laminar air flow,
- ICU with oxygen cage & nebulization unit
- Surgical suite with positive laminar air flow,
- Prep-room,
- Recovery room,
- Dental area & dental x-ray equipment,
- Hospital barn for large animals,
- etc.
As an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association [AAHA], Braden Run Animal Hospital adheres to their rigid requirements for quality medical care; BRAH was last inspected by AAHA May, 2007. The next inspection will be during 2010. AAHA has contributed greatly to the care of patients and encourages continuing improvement through meetings and seminars with that goal in mind. We are proud to be a member of the organization!
